‘who are you again?’(이하 “앱”)은 사용자의 개인정보를 소중히 다룹니다. 이 문서는 앱이 어떤 정보를 어떻게 다루는지 설명합니다.
1. 촬영한 사진
- 사진은 배우 인식이라는 한 가지 목적으로만 사용됩니다.
- 촬영한 사진은 인식 처리를 위해 앱의 서버로 전송되고, 얼굴 인식 처리를 위해 Amazon Web Services(AWS Rekognition)에 전달됩니다.
- 촬영한 사진 자체는 서버에 저장하지 않으며 인식이 끝나면 즉시 폐기합니다. 다만 같은 사진을 중복으로 세지 않기 위해, 사진에서 만든 되돌릴 수 없는 지문(해시)을 기기 번호와 함께 보관합니다. 이 지문으로는 원본 사진을 복원할 수 없습니다.
- 사진의 작은 축소본(썸네일)은 “지난 검색” 표시를 위해 사용자의 기기 안에만 저장됩니다. 서버로 전송되지 않습니다.
2. 검색 기록
- 최근 검색 기록(배우 이름, 검색 시각, 썸네일)은 사용자의 기기 안에만 저장됩니다 (최근 20개).
- 앱을 삭제하면 모든 기록이 함께 삭제됩니다.
3. 계정
- 이 앱은 회원가입이나 로그인이 없습니다. 이름, 이메일, 비밀번호를 받지 않습니다.
- 무료 검색 횟수를 세기 위해 기기마다 무작위로 만든 번호 하나를 사용합니다. 이 번호는 이름·연락처 등과 연결되지 않아 개인을 식별하지 않습니다. 앱을 지우면 기기에서는 사라지지만, 무료 횟수 계산을 위해 서버에는 이 번호와 사진 지문(해시)이 남습니다. 삭제를 원하시면 아래 문의처로 요청해 주세요.
4. 제3자 서비스
- AWS Rekognition — 사진 속 얼굴로 배우를 인식하기 위해 사용합니다. 사진은 처리 후 보관되지 않습니다.
- TMDB(The Movie Database) — 배우의 출연작·작품 정보를 가져오기 위해 사용합니다. 사진은 전달되지 않습니다.
- Anthropic — 배역 한 줄 설명 문구를 만들기 위해 작품 제목·배역명(텍스트)만 전달합니다. 사진은 전달되지 않습니다.
- RevenueCat — 구독 상태(구독 중인지 아닌지)를 관리하기 위해 기기 번호만 전달합니다. 이름·이메일·결제 정보는 전달되지 않습니다. 결제 자체는 Apple이 처리하며, 앱과 개발자는 카드 정보를 볼 수 없습니다.
5. 개인정보의 국외 이전
얼굴이 담긴 사진은 민감정보로, 인식 처리를 위해 아래와 같이 국외로 이전됩니다. 이용자는 국외 이전을 거부할 수 있으나, 거부 시 배우 인식 등 핵심 기능을 이용할 수 없습니다.

6. 수집하지 않는 것
- 연락처, 위치, 광고 식별자 등 그 밖의 개인정보는 수집하지 않습니다.
- 회원 데이터베이스를 운영하지 않으며, 사용자 계정 정보가 서버에 저장되지 않습니다.

1. Photos you take
- Photos are used for one purpose only: recognizing the actor.
- A photo is sent to the app's server and passed to Amazon Web Services (AWS Rekognition) for face recognition.
- The photo itself is never stored on our servers and is discarded immediately after processing. To avoid counting the same photo twice, we keep an irreversible fingerprint (hash) derived from it, stored together with your device number. The original photo cannot be reconstructed from this fingerprint.
- A small thumbnail is kept only on your device to display your recent searches. It is never uploaded.
2. Search history
- Your recent searches (actor name, time, thumbnail) are stored only on your device (last 20).
- Deleting the app deletes all history.
3. Accounts
- The app has no sign-up and no login. We never ask for your name, email, or password.
- To count your free searches we use a randomly generated device number. It is not linked to your name or contact details and does not identify you. Deleting the app removes it from your device, but the number and photo fingerprints remain on our server to keep the free-search count. Email us (below) to request deletion.
4. Third-party services
- AWS Rekognition — face recognition. Photos are not retained after processing.
- TMDB (The Movie Database) — filmography and title information. No photos are shared.
- Anthropic — generates one-line role descriptions from text (title and character name) only. No photos are shared.
- RevenueCat — manages subscription status. Only the device number is shared; no name, email, or payment details. Payments are handled by Apple; neither the app nor the developer can see your card details.
5. Overseas transfer of personal data
A photo containing a face is sensitive data and is transferred overseas for recognition as shown below. You may refuse the overseas transfer, but core features such as actor recognition will then be unavailable.
